Roamer Cruise Night in Streator


Join us as we broadcast live from 7 until 9 p.m. during the Roamer Cruise Night Sept. 4, in downtown Streator.

SHS Band Cruise Night Concert & Cookout


The Streator High School Band will be performing at Cruise Night starting at 6pm at the corner of Main and Park St. in the Centrue Parking Lot on the North side of Main.  They will also be selling burgers, pork chop sandwiches, hot dogs, bottled water and pop, with tables and chairs available. 

Kiwanis Club Cruise Night Cook-Out


Kiwanis Club Cruise Night Cook-Out Saturday, September 4th from 5pm to 9pm.  Visit the booth at Streator Insurance Parking Lot at 511 E. Main Street.  The menu includes ribeye sandwiches, cheeseburgers, bratwursts, hot dogs, chips and beverages.  Please support Young Children - Priority One.

LELAND - Labor Day weekend events


The Leland Fire Department's Labor Day Event starts Sept. 4, with a street dance from 6:30 until 11 p.m. at the fire station.

MENDOTA - The Veronica Blumhorst Memorial Expo for a Safer Community


The Veronica Blumhorst Memorial Expo for a Safer Community will be held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sept. 19, at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Mendota. 

Poker Run


Dwight Correctional Center and the local area Masons present a Poker Run for the Special Olympics to benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on Saturday, September 11th.  All vehicles welcome.  Entry fee  $25 and $15 for each additional rider or passenger.  Entry fee one hat or one t-shirt, 50/50, drawing and raffles.  Tickets for a Harley Davidson Motorcycle to be drawn in Octover will also be on sale along with t-shirts, hats and pins.  Registration at the Dwight Correctional Center parking lot at 1pm with the first bike out starting at 2pm.  Stops in Streator, Magnolia, Lacon, Eureka and Gridley.  Last bike in to CD' Crystal Palace by 5:30pm with music and food.

Pig Roast


Streator American Legion Pig Roast Saturday, September 18th at 2pm at the American Legion.  $10 per person all you can eat and drink.  Music, 50/50 drawing and door prizes.  Bags Tournament  - Single elimination 80% payout.  First game at 4pm.  $10 a team, 2 people per team.  1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.  Sign up at the American Legion.

Engle Lane benefit


World Famous Dance Chicago Comes To Central Illinois 
For One Performance Only To Benefit Engle Lane

 World-renowned Dance Chicago comes to the Cultural Center Theater at Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC) on Saturday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m.  The benefit will help raise money to rebuild Engle Lane Theater in Streator that was heavily damaged by the tornado.

Co-Ed Softball League
League starts August 12th and is played on Thursday nights.  Games are 6:15, 7:15, 8:15 and 9:15.  Registration fee is $20 per person, one time fee.  Must be 16 years or older to play and must have 5 guys and 5 girls on the field.  Open roster, once a player plays on a team they are on the team and cannot play for another team.  League plays with 12 inch ball.

Youth Co-Ed Softball Tournament
When: Labor Day Monday September 6th
Where: Owen's Field
Time: first game at 9am and last game at 5 pm
Cost: $5.00 per person
4 inning game with 12 inch softball, 10 on a team, can all boys, all girls or both
divisions are as follows:  4th & 5th grade division and junior high division 6-8th grade
Can pre-register or register that day, prefer preregister so you know your game times.
